I travel the Amsterdam night.

I travel the Amsterdam night.
I see people going through the street garbage, collecting items that have lost their value to others, but are still useful to them.
I see a group of stoned tourists staggering through the streets, one of them casually smoking a cigarette.
I see lonely old men staring through the windows at the women under the red lights.
I see half naked ladies of pleasure patiently waiting in their booths until someone gets in and buys a quick twenty minutes of fun.
I see working men dutifully repairing the tram rails, unaware of the surrounding city life.
I see a black man who’s listing to his music player and dances in the middle of the street.
I see an empty night bus driving nobody to somewhere.
I see a city with many faces.
